Capitals, SANA- According to the American Woldmeters Website,the global novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of 2,148,000 persons since its outbreak in December 2019.
The Website added that the total number of infections till now has reached up to 100,228,084, while the death toll has climbed up to 21,480,036, and the recoveries have amounted to 72,212,556.
The US is still at the top of the list of the worst affected countries in terms of infections and deaths as it has recorded 431,059 deaths out of 25,828,668 infections, then India ranked second as registering 153,624 deaths out of 10,677,710 infections, while Brazil comes in the third place with 217,664 deaths out of 8,871,393 infections.
